Patti Bowman - Gallery

I like to use many different tools and media in my paintings, including encaustics, oil, acrylic, relief prints, monotypes, silkscreen, leftover latex paint, automotive primer, brushes, a screwdriver, a plumbing torch, razor blades, a heat gun, old drawings and bits of scrap paper to create my suburban-mother/conspiracy theorist esthetic. I studied drawing, painting and printmaking at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, as well as printmaking and metal sculpture at Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC. I have taken classes at Pratt Fine Arts Center and Gage Academy in Seattle.
