Seattle Print Arts is pleased to host a printmaking demo for its members. Anna McKee will go through her methods of chine collé printing that result in a seamless lamination of washi papers or silk fabric onto rag paper in the final print. She has been printing with various chine collé techniques for many years, incorporating techniques taught at Crown Point Press with her own experimenting. Chine collé is traditionally used to achieve the fine print detail attainable on delicate surfaces with the structural support of heavier rag paper. It can also be used to add secondary images that have been printed or transferred onto the chine collé paper. The demo will take place on Wednesday, July 13th, 7-9 pm at McKee’s studio in the Greenwood neighborhood. Limited to 16 participants. Reply to firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot.
