The inspiration for this exhibition/maker space came from disparate interests of design histories and making that coalesced in one moment, 2017 March for Science. In that march and many others before and since groups of passionate individuals spent countless hours “making” statements about social concerns. These artifacts were displayed in the public forum of publications, posters, social media and protest marches.

Curated by Karen Gutowsky Zimmerman, Professor of Art and Design at Seattle Pacific University.
