The Golden Brayer Award

The Golden Brayer is Seattle Print Art’s new Annual Printmaking Award – to highlight individuals in our community who go above and beyond in support of printmaking across the Pacific Northwest. 

Our community is full of wonderful and supportive people. This award is designed to highlight those efforts, and meant to encourage and celebrate each other as we continue to build a brighter printmaking community.

2024 Awardee: Kamla Kakaria
2025 Awardee: Kim Van Someren

Past awardees and current SPA board members are not eligible for nomination.

Seattle Print Arts looks to our members for nominations. If you would like to nominate someone for the Golden Brayer – please fill out this Google Form.

Kim Van Someren, recipient of the 2025 recipient of the Golden Brayer, will lead review of the submissions, and the announcement ceremony will take place during the Annual Picnic and Fundraiser on August 9, 2026.
