Halloween 2025 Postcard Exchange
It’s time for the 2nd Annual Halloween POSTCARD Exchange!
This year we will be having an exchange party on Sunday, October 19 from 3-5 at Pratt (in the youth studio which is in the wood studio behind the yellow building). Don’t worry if you can’t make it - you can still participate!!!
How will it work?
All participants will create 4 postcards (using any printmaking method)
The postcard size must be no bigger than 4.25 X 6
Options and deadlines:
If you can’t attend the exchange party, participants will need to mail their art to me NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 13, 2025 by placing their 4 postcard sized prints in a standard 5x7 envelope and mailing to Leslie Moon. Please drop me an email with your name and mailing address to let me know you are participating.
Alternatively you can drop them off in Leslie’s drawer in the print studio at Pratt (which can be found in the first stack of flat file drawers when you enter the studio close to the bottom)
Details:
Does your print HAVE to be Halloween Themed? Technically No, but who doesn’t love a frightful design!!!!
Can you take an existing print and cut it up into postcard sized delights? Sure!
Do these have to be an edition? Nope!
Are there strict rules? Only that you adhere to the size limit and delivery timeline.
Is there any cost to participate?
Only the cost of stamps if you choose to mail your prints to me (depending upon the paper used, etc. I’d suggest taking your envelope into a post office to make sure it has proper postage & as long as it’s still flexible it won’t be much).
No cost if you drop them off at Pratt. It will be my “TREAT” to cover the cost of sending the postcard prints to all participants who can’t make it to the exchange gathering.
Looking forward to another great postcard exchange!!!
Hope to see so many of you at the exchange party on Sunday, October 19 (but remember you can participate even if you can’t make it to the party!)
Spring 2025 Postcard Exchange
Submissions for the 2025 spring postcard exchange are now CLOSED.
Couldn’t quite get an edition together for this year’s print exchange? Well…. how about something on a much smaller scale?
Let’s do a SPRING POSTCARD EXCHANGE !!
The theme will be WHAT MAKES ME SMILE
(This is obviously a very loose theme but I figure in these times we could all use more things that make us smile!)
How will it work?
All participants will create 4 postcards (using any printmaking method)
The postcard size must be no bigger than 4.25 X 6
Participants will mail their art to me NO LATER THAN May 1, 2025.
Alternatively you can drop them off in my (Leslie’s) drawer in the print studio at Pratt, in the first stack of flat file drawers when you enter the studio close to the bottom. By the end of the first week in May you will then receive in the mail 3 postcards made by fellow SPA members for you to keep, share, frame….
Interested? I sure hope so!!! Please drop me an email with your name and mailing address to let me know you are participating.
